After spending nearly four years as the Director of Member Services and Sales at the Norman Chamber of Commerce, Mark Hyde joined the Equity TEAM in January 2006.
While at the Chamber, Hyde refined his skills in business and relationship building while orchestrating three record-breaking Membership Drives and overseeing networking programs such as Business After Hours, Business Before Hours, Tomorrow’s Leaders (for high school sophomores), and Leadership Norman.
“I feel my strengths lie in relationship building and just treating people the right way,” said Hyde. “It’s extremely important to me to be diligent in my approach to business, ethical in all things in life, and fair to everyone I come in contact with.”
Hyde learned the importance of servant leadership while in college at St. Gregory’s University in Shawnee and has made it a point to do his part to impact the community. He is currently a member of the Norman Kiwanis Club, having recently served a term on its board of directors and currently acts as their golf tournament chairperson and as an advisor to the Norman High Key Club. He also serves as the public address announcer for the University of Oklahoma’s women’s basketball team and the play-by-play radio voice of the Shawnee Wolves. A newlywed, Hyde enjoys spending his free time with his pregnant wife Candice and their Labrador mix Cyrus.
